Dr. Dominik von Au

Managing Director
Family Constitution, Succession Planning, Family Governance, Next Generation

Dominik von Au is Managing Director of INTES Family Business Academy as well as Partner and Family Governance Leader in PwC's Familienunternehmen & Mittelstand (Family Business & SME) unit. He is passionate about the strategic development of INTES as well as the entrepreneurial families around the world, for whom he helps create family constitutions and structure succession planning. He also frequently serves as a sparring partner for members of the Next Generation. Dominik von Au is a member of the Kommission Governance Kodex für Familienunternehmen (Commission on Governance Code for Family Businesses) in Germany and Austria, and plays a key role in other important initiatives for family businesses. These include the jury for "Family Business Owner of the Year" and the jury for the "Berenberg-Preis für unternehmerische Verantwortung" (Berenberg award for corporate responsibility). Having lived in Frankfurt and Hamburg, Dominik von Au now resides with his family in his home town of Munich in southern Germany.

Gerold Rieder

Gerold Rieder is Managing Director of INTES Family Business Academy with a special focus on the company's broad event and seminar offering. He also supports business owners in appointing advisory and supervisory board members based on his extensive network. Before founding the INTES Academy together with Peter May in 1998, he held a management position at “Universitätsseminar der Wirtschaft (USW)" at Schloss Gracht near Cologne. Gerold Rieder studied at the University of Augsburg and obtained his degree in Business Administration. He lives with his family in Bonn.

Michael Dernen

Project Manager
Customer Management, Marketing & (Digital) Sales

Michael Dernen takes care of our entire customer management and is responsible for Marketing & Digital Sales. The business administration graduate has many years of extensive experience in marketing and sales, which he gained in well-known companies. As a digital expert, he is always on the lookout for new market trends and developments on behalf of INTES Family Business Academy. Native to Bonn and a Rhinelander, he and his family live on the outskirts of Bonn. In his free time, he has been a volunteer with the Fire Department Bonn since 1987. He likes to pursue his love for adventure and nature through geocaching on home turf as well as abroad.

Sabine Strick

Project Manager
Advisory Board Placements, Seminar Program, Lateral Thinker

As Project Manager, Sabine Strick manages the ongoing development of INTES Family Business Academy's seminar program, supports companies in assigning members to their advisory boards, and oversees editing of the INTES UnternehmerBrief publication for business owners. The journalist and qualified interpreter was a long-time coordinator for all formats of "wir - Das Magazin für Unternehmerfamilien" (magazine for business families) issued by the F.A.Z. Group. She looks "beyond the horizon" by taking extraordinary trips together with her daughter.

Jennifer Steinberg

Jennifer Steinberg is responsible for the entire event and seminar organization of INTES Family Business Academy. She serves as the first point of contact for clients and instructors. The trained hotel specialist draws on many years of experience in the event management, hospitality and hotel sectors. Having worked for many years with HRS - Hotel Reservation Service, she herself has gained extensive experience in a family business.

Saskia Matthes

Saskia Matthes supports Jennifer Steinberg in the event and seminar organization INTES Family Business Academy. She is the contact person for all clients, in particular seminar participants and speakers. As a media- and publishing business administrator formerly with the Bonn-based General-Anzeiger publishing house, she has extensive professional experience in the field of customer service. Born and raised in the Rhineland, Saskia Matthes lives with her family near Bonn.

Marianne Pfefferkorn-Klug

Event Management
Business Owner Success Forum

Marianne Pfefferkorn-Klug is responsible for the participant management of the annual Business Owner Success Forum at Grand Hotel Schloss Bensberg. She is also jointly responsible for participant management and the organization of seminars, workshops and training sessions of  INTES Academy for Family Businesses. As a qualified hotel manager and business graduate (FH) with focus on tourism and marketing she studied event management. She has planned seminars and corporate events on the hotel side as well as weddings and other private events. Born in Hamburg, Marianne has been in the Rhineland for over 15 years and lives with her family in Bonn.
